Blu-ray Players & Home Cinema

Just as DVD blasted VHS out of the race with its vastly superior picture and audio quality, and extra versatility, Blu-ray is now starting to replace DVD as the general home cinema format. Many folks already own HD-TVs, and if you would like to milk their high spec, then you must invest in a Blu-ray player to actually make the most of them.

Blu-ray discs have more than 6 times the capacity of DVDs, and can so contain much more pictures and at a way higher quality. Whereas DVDs had a maximum vertical resolution of 576 pixels, Blu-Ray discs can store a fantastic 1080 pixel high image, displayed in full up to sixty times a minute. That is what is thought of as 1080p, and may be standard on the best Blu-ray players you find. Along with an enhanced color handling system, this guarantees that you’ve got a wonderful, spotless picture that is as near to a cinema as you can enjoy at home.

They not only have an improved picture, but Blu-ray players give even greater quality of sound than before, with now even more surround sound channels present, and support for up to date hi-def audio formats like Dolby TrueHD. If you are worried about having to replace your DVD collection, then do not be. Blu-ray players are complete backwards compatible, meaning that they will be ready to play all your old DVDs. They also have upscaling capacities, meaning that even DVDs will look even greater than ever on your HD-TV.

You should try and find a Blu-ray player that has as much connectivity as feasible. The best blu-ray players should have an HDMI port which can attach to your TV, although you check to see if a wire is included. Many also include extra ports, for example a USB port to allow you to enjoy playing media using external memory devices, and an SD port so you can see your digital camera footage in spotless HD.

More complicated players actually have an ethernet port so the blu-ray player can be updated itself online. Some Blu-ray players can even use this internet connection to offer you extra BD-Live content, for example removed trailers, scenes, or maybe picture ringtones.

You may also hook up with some of many prospering BD-Live communities, which is where you can discuss or enjoy playing video games. With so many great features present, you must make sure to find the finest equipment possible for your spend.

You Should Cheap Blu-ray Movies

Blu-ray movies are really cool. With them you get the best picture quality. High def is where the world is headed. After watching blu-ray I can’t even watch regular DVDs anymore. I saw Spiderman 2 on blu-ray the other and it couldn’t even compare to when I watch it on regular DVD a couple of years back. Not only the picture is improved, but so is the sound generated. I really can not say enough good things about these regular discs.

I have a high def television, and when I watch regular movies or even regular cable it seems like a waste. In realty it not even a good way to waste my day. I’d rather read a book then watch crapy TV (and that’s saying a lot). Some channels on TV are in high def, which makes it more experience, but still I think blu-ray DVDs are better.

A lot of people have been put off blu-ray because they feel it’s too expensive. Yeah sure you pay a little more, but the quality is so worth it. It is not even that expensive really. You can blu-ray movies for sale if you look for them. They really aren’t that expensive. One thing that can be said for sure is that they are worth the cost. I would buy blu-ray movies even if they were $100 each. Quality is what I look for over price.

Considering how far tech has come in such a short time I can’t imagine where it will be in another 20 or even 40 years. I suppose thinking about that stuff to much is useless. I will just live in the present. That’s why I don’t know why more people don’t cheap blu-ray player. I can concede they can cost a pretty penny, but the are worth it for sure. I don’t think I could cope without mine, not to sound insane.

Blu Ray Player Is A Good Enough Reason To Get Playstation 3

Few things are more confusing to most of us than out and out turf wars between big technology firms. Toshiba and Microsoft threw their hat (and money) in with HD DVDs. However, Sony’s Blu Ray DVD format emerged the victor by a mile and left the rest with egg on their face.

The quick demise of HD DVDs was in no more small part thanks to the Playstation 3 coming with a Blu Ray player built in. Many folks who were sat on the fence trying to make their minds up, jumped the way of Blu Ray because, as they saw it, Sony’s Blu Ray player came with a free games console!

This meant Sony got 2 markets in one go: The gamers who plumped for a Playstation 3 because it had the added bonus of a Blu Ray player and the movie buffs went for the Playstation 3 as a Blu Ray player that just happened to have the added bonus of a decent games console attached to it…Ka Ching! Wat to go Sony.

It’s not the first time they have used this sales method either. Older gamers will remember that the built in CD player was a deciding factor for many buyers when trying to decide on a games console. Playstation 2 followed that with a built in DVD player (which at the time was a fairly new concept) which had exactly the same effect. Remember the kids in the store “but look mom, it’s got a DVD player so you can watch movies on it after we’ve gone to bed!”

If you are undecided on either which games console to go for or which Blu Ray player to purchase, you won’t go wrong with a Playstation 3.

So what exactly is Blu Ray?

It’s simply the next level of data storage. A DVD can store 9 GB of data where as a Blu Ray disc holds around 25 GB. The extra room means you can store video with a lot more detail per frame, high definition movies. Without that extra storage, you would be changing DVD every 20 minutes or so while watching a movie. The extra storage space improves the gamers experience because the games include a lot more video footage, better graphics, sound and just bigger environments. Blu Ray has taken gaming to another level!

Remember when 5.0 Surround Sound first hit the shelves, it revolutionized how we heard our movies and music. Blu Ray features 7.0 Surround Sound for more bumps, shouts and vibrations than ever before. Better than that though, the picture quality is around six times better than a regular DVD.

What’s more, Blu Ray players, including Playstation 3, can play CD’s and DVD’s so you don’t need to keep your old DVD player once you upgrade. If you have an HD ready TV you owe it to yourself to get the benefit fromit and experience movies like you have never seen and games such as Grid that actually look like a movie, the quality is so good!
